Inspiration Blog Hop

Hi everyone its been quite awhile I haven't been very good at posting on here have I. I promise t try to post on here more often again. Today I am here as I am so honored to be nominated by Rebecca Swanson of BeccaLite Crafts fpr this continuous blog hop. Every Monday there is a host of inspirational bloggers taking part and answering questions.
I will do my best to answer them so here we go:

1. What am I working on?
Well I am always working on something LOL. My craft room organization is a continuous work in progress. But currently I am working on several CAS (Clean and simple) cards and a scene card for my Hot Rods Boutique Design Team which is such a joy getting to play with Whimsy Stamps and Avery Elle Stamps and dies everyday what could be more fun.

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I like to jump around to a ton of different genres and dip my toe into everything. Lately I have been having fun playing with CAS cards and also some mixed media. But something most people associate with me and that I will always continue to do are my detailed scene cards.I think my scene cards differ from most others because I wil #1 use a ton of different stamps by different stamp companies. #2 I will try to add lots of tiny details to truly create a realistic scene and #3 i try to keep everything in proportiuon as I can so again it looks realistic but I also want it kind of cutesy cartoon feel I hope it makes sense LOL heres an example of  scene cards of mine

                                                                                                                                                                   #3.Why do I create what I do?
Well I think why do most of us create what we do is because we found something we love to do that brings joy to our hearts and makes us feel happy that lets us be creative.I love the feeling of seeing a finished product or sitting and picturing a scene for my stamp or finding a new way to use a stamp ir die. Its fun! Is also therapeutic.

#4. How does my creative process work?
I know I seem like a very chaotic process but theres a method to my madness I promise LOL.
I will start by choosing my main image and when I see it I automatically will picture the colors shes wearing and what shes doing and what the scene looks like and I know right there that I have to create the picture I see in my head. After that I will go through just about every stamp and die I own (which is way way too many) and see what will work in my scene I will stamp color and fussy cut all the ones I think will work (even though I will probably only use half) I then sit and lay them out and move them around til I am happy with it. All the colored and cut images I dont use go in a little box that I always look through when doing a scene. My process is extremely time consuming but I am always so happy with my end product.

Who do I nominate sheesh thats tough theres so many amazing talented crafters out there. The 2 I chose are both such sweet talented gifted woman , crafters n moms.

#1 is Cindy from Cindy4Kiddos on Youtube Her blog Scrappy Mom 4 Kiddos is great heres the link

#2 is Lisa from gobeagirl heres the link to her blog as well

CAS Valentine Cards feat HRB

Hello everyone today I want to share two very quick and simple cards featuring Aver Elle stamps & dies now being sold at
http://etsy.com/shop/hotrodsboutique
For the first card I challenged myself to make a card in 5 minutes and actually put a kitchen timer on & everything LOL I am shocked that I was able to do it
Its an A2 card on PTI "Scarlet Jewel" cardstock
I used Avery Elle "Lots of Love"  stamping the hearts from the set in an ombre look using MementoLuxe ink in " Rhubarb Stalk", "Love Letter" & "Angel Pink". I stamped my sentiment from "Tuxedo Black". Lastly I just added a few flat red sequins.

For my second card its also A2 on PTI "Autumn Rose" cardstock.

I made a background using stamps from Avery Elle "Lots of Love" & "Simply Said Love" sentiments and hearts from "Simply Tags Christmas" stamping the sentiments in PTI "Autmn Rose" & the hearts in PTI "Pure Poppy" I put double sided adhesive from Sizzix onto white cardstock & die cut the Avery Elle "Love" die removed the adhesive backing and used Ranger Dry fine Stickles in "Fruit Punch" I love how shimmery it is. Lastly I added 2 die cuts a banner & a XOXO circle from Teresa Collins "You are My Happy" ephemera pack.
Inside I just stamped my sentiment from Lots of Love in Pure Poppy & the hearts in Autmn Rose.

2 quick and simple cards that are flat enough to easily mail but are still pretty. I had fun challenging myself to do quick clean cards.
Thanks for stopping by XOXO

CAS Paper Smooches Card

He everyone today I have a clean & simple birthday card using all Paper Smooches stamps. They have such great versatile stamps that make it so easy to put together a great card easily & quickly.

My card is an A2 card with a card base from PTI "Spring Rain".

I used the fishes from PS "Birthday Buddies" & stamped them in Hero Arts "Soft Granite" shadow ink to create a background. I stamped my cat from PS"Nine Lives" onto white cardstock with Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink and copic colored it (colors listed at bottom of this post). I fussy cut it and put it on foam. For the shadow under the cat I used PS "Shadows" in Hero Arts "Charcoal" shadow ink. I stamped the speech bubble also from the PS "Shadows" set in Hero Arts "Soft Cantaloupe" shadow ink cut it out and went around it with a black Memento marker to give it a solid outline. Lastly I stamped my sentiment from PS "Chubby Chums" in Versafine "Onyx Black" ink.
I was happy to be able to use 4 different Paper Smooches sets for a fairly simple card.

My Copic Colors:
I used Copic Markers YR 61,65,68 / E04/ RV32 & Glossy Accents & white Gel pen on the nose.

I hope you like todays card XOXO

Talula Girls Guest DT Project

Hey Everyone so I missed doin a post yesterday but I'm doing better at posting more often right? LOL Fr todays post I was asked to be the January Guest Designer for Talula Girls Digi images. I chose the image called "Lovie Dreams" for my first project and decided to do an altered notebook to change it up a bit. This image would be great for a Valentines project, mixed media, art journals and so much more.

I used a notebook from Michaels $1.00 bin from last year. Put some 2 inch wide rainbow striped washi on the bindingthen covered front & back with Prima "Fairy Belle" paper. The Copic colors used on the image will be listed at the bottom of this post

I wrapped some red lace around front & back then added gold mesh bling from Craft Supplies 1. Tucked under the mesh bling is a metal heart from my stash with a Recollections bow & a Teresa Collins You are my Happy Chipboard sticker that says xoxo witha rainbow candy dot on top of it. On the top left I used flowers from Recollections & CraftSupplies1 and a resin butterfly from my stash. In the two corners I added metal corners and in bottom left a crochet flower in mint green and lavender paper rose both from Recollections Lastly I added some pearl & rhinestone hearts from my stash & a resin bow to my image. You cant see it too much but I added fun paper clips and a barrette clip inside the pages.
On the back I did more of the Prima paper & red lace. I used metal XO's and a double heart from Studio G. To spell out Irish I used thickers in the "Eric" font. Lastly I did a row of Recollections flat flowers in greens, purples & white.

Heres a list of the copic colors I used

Hot Rods Boutique Card Catch Up

Hey Everyone as I said I am playing catch up on my blog I have some cards to share that I made for the Hot Rods Boutique design team. Which by the way she just got in and started selling Avery Elle products YAY! If you place an order over $50 in the US use the code FREESHIP50 ! Heres a link to the store before I start sharing my projects:
http://etsy.com/shop/HotRodsBoutique

So the First card is one I just made but am a bit unhappy with some of the aspects of it I wish I had gone with a plain navy cardstock background as the gold stars on the patterned paper distract a bit from the image and details I added and makes it seem a bit busy but as I stated in my YouTube video I am happy with my coloring on the image and the fun details and veneers and border I added. Without further ado here is the card using Whimsy Time for Tea Designs "Twinkle Toes"

 Here is the inside
Here are some past cards I wanted to share. All the main images used can be purchased at Hot Rods Boutiqe and full card details on my YouTube videos:

I Hope you like the cards I posted today I have several others that you can see on my YouTube channel. Tomorrow I will do one last catch up video of some cards I have done recently just for fun that I really like how they turned out. Thanks for stopping by XOXO
